We’ve been here before.
We’ve seen the rise of a new breed of college-going kid.
Nowhere is this trend more evident than in the West Coast, where colleges have taken a page out of Stanford and Berkeley’s playbook and created their own versions of elite institutions.
As they grow, they are attracting hordes of students, many of whom are not as well-prepared for the rigors of college life.
Colleges don’t have much to offer students.
Here’s how they’re doing it.
Here are some of the schools that you should consider if you’re a student looking to enroll in a four-year institution.
University of Washington (Seattle)The cost of a four year degree at UW is $26,972.
That’s almost $7,000 more than the median household income in Seattle, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau.
That means the cost of the degree is also far more expensive than what the median student at UW earns.
If you’re in the Seattle area and you can get a bachelor’s degree for less than $10,000, you’re doing better than many other students who don’t go to UW.
(But if you can’t afford the price tag, you can look into a four or five-year degree at another institution.)
UW offers a wide range of majors and programs.
Some programs offer a degree for just a few years, while others are designed to help you graduate with a solid degree within a couple of years.
Many are also focused on STEM, which includes engineering, mathematics, computer science and social studies.

The University of California at Berkeley (Berkeley)The average cost of tuition at Berkeley is $21,715.
That includes room and board, books, transportation, room andboard, books and supplies.
You can pay a little bit more for a full-time degree in one of the programs, but most students in this market don’t even have to pay for tuition for a bachelor degree.
It’s a good way to save money, but not necessarily the best way to pay off student loans.
If your student loans are paid off, Berkeley will provide you with access to some of its community programs, such as the Bay Area Scholars Program, which offers tuition discounts to students who have earned a bachelor of science or a master of science degree.
Berkeley also offers a variety of student support programs, including student loans assistance and student loan counseling.
