Posted November 12, 2019 13:24:48 Australian university Ashford University is facing a backlash after it was the subject of a hate crime in the UK.
A video showing a young man being tackled by a man with a swastika on his shoulder has been viewed more than 1.4 million times.
The incident happened at the university’s campus in Oxfordshire, England, on Tuesday.
In the video, the man is seen holding up a whiteboard in English with the words “No-go zone”.
The man then tells the young man to “get out” of the room.
I don’t want you around,” the man said.
The university said the man was arrested on suspicion of causing religiously aggravated harassment.
The University of Warwick’s Centre for the Study of Hate and Extremism has been contacted for comment.
